Congratulations to 007 producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli who are being honoured by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award “as a testament to their success as producers of the fan-favourite Bond series and their contribution to the industry’s theatrical landscape” – Academy President Janet Yang. While Bond producer Cubby Broccoli received the Thalberg Award in 1981 Barbara will become only the second woman ever to receive this award.
Michael and Barbara will be presented with their Oscar statuettes at the Academy’s Governors Awards event on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
