In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the 007 franchise on the silver screen, EON producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have been honored with a hand and footprints ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre’s Forecourt of the Stars in Los Angeles.
Speaking at the ceremony, Michael G. Wilson said “We love film and we love making films and to be included in this historical Hollywood tradition, celebrating cinema, is an absolute honour for both of us as we celebrate our 60th year of James Bond and the 25th film in the franchise.”
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were joined by friends and family for the traditional Hollywood ceremony as well as Blofeld actor Christoph Waltz. Michael and Barbara wished to thank their late father Cubby Broccoli, the studios, actors, talented technicians, crews and directors as well as the many fans and global audiences who have enjoyed watching 007 in cinemas.
Barbara Broccoli credited the many teams that have worked on the James Bond franchise. Broccoli said “We’ve just had the A team on these movies for 60 years and I think that’s why they’ve been so successful.”
