It has been announced that Sing Street, the hit musical, will have a summer run from August until October at The Huntington theatre in Boston.
The cast includes Adam Bregman, Billy Carter, Courtnee Carter, Jack DiFalco, Dónal Finn, Anthony Genovesi, Michael Lepore, Diego Lucano, Elijah Lyons, Alexa Xioufaridou Moster and Anne L. Nathan.
Sing Street is directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman (Indecent), features a book by Tony Award winner Enda Walsh (Once), music and lyrics by Gary Clark (front man of Danny Wilson) & John Carney (“Modern Love”), choreography by Obie Award winner Sonya Tayeh (Moulin Rouge), and is based on the motion picture written and directed by John Carney.
The sold-out world premiere of Sing Street began performances at New York Theatre Workshop (79 East 4th Street) on November 25, 2019, opened December 16, 2019, and was extended two additional weeks to run through January 26, 2020. It was originally scheduled to open on Broadway in spring 2020 before it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sing Street is produced by Barbara Broccoli, Brian Carmody, Patrick Milling Smith, David Droga, Michael Wilson, Orin Wolf and Frederick Zollo. Executive Producers are Patrick Daly and Alecia Parker.
